FAQs
Do I need any dance or movement experience?
Absolutely not! Everything I offer is about listening to your body, not performing or getting it “right.” You’re always invited to move in ways that feel safe, accessible, and supportive for you.
Is this more like dance, exercise, or therapy?
It’s none of those — and a little of all three. My work blends neuroscience, nervous system regulation, music, and embodied movement to support wellbeing. It’s not therapy, but it is deeply therapeutic.
What if I feel awkward, emotional, or don’t know how to move?
That’s completely normal — and honestly, that's kind of the whole point of it! There’s no expectation to perform or push. Many people come exactly as they are and discover that safety comes through the experience.
Do I need to be fit or flexible?
Nope. This work meets you where you are, whether you’re moving a lot, barely at all, or mostly just breathing, listening, and tuning into the music. These practices are accessible for ALL levels of fitness & ability.
What should I wear or bring?
Wear whatever you feel comfortable moving or resting in. You might like to have water, a blanket, a towel in case you get sweaty, and if you're participating in an online session, you may benefit more from a quiet space where you won’t be interrupted - unless you're getting the kids or your besties involved for an MBR party!
Is this suitable if I experience anxiety, burnout, chronic stress, or am neurodivergent?
Yep, 100% — This work is designed with nervous system sensitivity at its core and can be especially supportive for wonderfully neurospicy brains or anyone who struggles with traditional meditation. You’re always encouraged to listen to your body and take breaks whenever you need.
Is this a replacement for therapy or medical care?
No. My offerings are complementary and educational, not a substitute for medical or psychological support.
Can I join if I’m having a low-energy or bad day?
Absolutely! You don’t need to feel “up for it” to attend — in fact, you may find that this is the BEST time to do it. Many people find that coming exactly as they are and allowing a shift in energy is part of the medicine!
